Absolutely amazing. Dinner had huge portions easily 2 meals. Great prices for the amount of food and the food was super fast. service was excellent. Sad we had it the last day otherwise would definitely go back.

By far the worst Hibachi place I've been too ever !!!! I normally go to the one on pines island rd, but I found out there was a Jimmyz down the street from my new job. First off the place is completely dirty the tables were considered "washed" but they were still sticky, there was food on the floors, there's water dripping from the ceilings, and the kitchen is completely dirty. I wouldn't have eaten there at all if known what it looked like. I ordered over the phone and had it delivered , i got the dinner portion of shrimp and steak which wasn't worth $14 at all the food was mediocre. There wasnt enough steak or shrimp to feed 2 people ; the only good thing about the food was the sauce that they give you. My biggest issue with this place is while I was getting a plate to feed my son I scooped up a dirty rusted screw in the food. I went to go return the food and they didn't seemed that concerned about what I found. The girl just apologize for it and went on her way, I asked her for extra steak for the compensation and I didn't get it. I will never be going back to Jimmyz and I don't think anybody else should, or at least to this location !!

Ordered hibachi shrimp and sweet tea x2 - delivery Food was okay.. not the best I've ever had but not the worst.

I ordered the combo dinner plate with terriyaki chicken and shrimp for delivery. I was initially told it would be an hour for delivery but it only took about 30 minutes. It was piping hot and tasted very good. I do agree with previous reviewers; they use a lot of onions and the other veggies are quite minimal. I'd like to see just a little less rice and a bit more veggies. If you're staying oceanfront and are simply too exhausted to go out for lunch or dinner, I recommend this place. I travel to MB regularly for business and plan to add Jimmyz to my list of go to places.

Food is great, price is reasonable, they have a drive thru, and though I haven't tried it, I'm told they will deliver. Teriyaki on my patio at the beach for less than 10 bucks. Dinner combo is enough for two. Scallops are awesome. All that equals 5stars.

My god this place is delicious. If you are looking for great hibachi, it is here at Jimmy'z! Very generous portions. Fast and friendly service. Meat cooked to perfection. Also, the sushi is freshly made and incredible. Just an all around wonderful restaurant.

We ate here on vacation last week and it is delicious! It's not your average hibachi where they cook the food in front of you. You go in and order at the counter, seat yourself, then it is brought out to you a few minutes later. Huge portions and it is yummy!

So we arrived for our vacation and thought, hmm, quick and affordable habachi delivery? How good could it really be? Great service over the phone and the delivery guy was really nice as well. Food was so much more than expected. I got the standard chicken and steak and the wife got scallops and filet. So good. Definitely getting it again before we head home for the week.

Being in Myrtle Beach for vacation with friends, we wanted to try out how the hibachi was. We searched for the top hibachi places, but everything seemed super expensive, or the ones that were greatly reviewed, nothing caught our eye on the menu. Our friends family mentioned Jimmyz and said we should try it. Upon looking and looking we noticed that it seemed most of the hibachi places down here are "fast" hibachi places. Meaning there is no show. We thought that was odd but we went with it anyways. Upon entering I will agree with a previous poster that the place definitely seemed dirty. The tables were unkept and the seats still had pieces of food left over from a previous diner. The guy who took our order was nice, but I kept asking for a bottle of water and he would give me a cup. Then he ran after me with a bottle of water, I was so confused as to what he was doing. Anyways, the bill was semi expensive. For two of us it was about $56. Although we did opt for noodles, sushi and a couple extras, but for that price we could of gotten a show. Everything came out super quick and was delicious. I am obsessed with hibachi rice and this one didn't really tickle my fancy. Also with the vegetables, we got TONS of onions and like nothing else. I eat onions, but I also don't need to eat a million of them. The sushi was different, I got a spicy tuna roll and it was made very oddly. The tuna was not mixed like it usually is, it was whole pieces of tuna and there was cucumbers inside along with siracha sauce on top. It was delicious don't get me wrong, but just different. Also, I am convinced my shrimp was undercooked. It was very mushy on the inside. I know my seafood, and I was just convinced that it was not cooked. Other than that we had TONS left over and ended up bringing it home. I probably wouldn't go back and would try to find something different next time around.

We love going to a Japanese Hibachi place and love the show we get as our food is cooked right in front of us. While visiting Myrtle Beach, we were intrigued by the Hibachi Houses that looked less like the fancy steakhouse restaurants we are used to and more like fast food type places. They have drive thru windows. Drive Thru Hibachi Houses. Say what? JimmyZ Hibachi is what we were recommended on the main strip filled with seafood restaurants and pancake houses. JimmyZ sits on a corner without a sign so it can be easy to pass by (the sign looked like it was wiped out by a storm and never replaced.) It's a counter service place where you order your food and have it delivered to your table. Chad and I both went for the 2 meat or seafood dinner combinations ($12.25.) I ordered Scallops and Tuna and all dinner plates are served with fried rice and Hibachi veggies. It was amazing. While I didn't get the soup and salad you will get a fancier full service Hibachi house, I had more than enough food to fill me up. The scallops were plump and the tuna was cooked to a perfect medium rare by request. Chad got Mahi Mahi and Salmon. These weren't little pieces of fish- these were two full size fillets piled onto a mound of fried rice with onions, zucchini and broccoli. Also on the side we were given a spicy mayo sauce and hot sauce (and I mean hot sauce.) We visited many restaurants during our stay in Myrtle Beach and this was one of our favorites. There are also daily specials and separate lunch menu. The meals at dinner are certainly more expensive than at lunch, however, the portions were big enough for dinner and lunch the next day.

The food is fine if you just want a taste of hibachi but nothing particularly good or recognizable. Seemed rather like fast food than authentic Japanese and we only went b/c it was the closest hibachi place to our hotel.

  • Anna M.

Ah-mazing! We've never had a hibachi drive-thru, but this was great! I had the Miss Korea Beef special and it was definitely delicious if you love Korean BBQ. We will be stopping here every chance we get when we visit!

I have been vacationing in myrtle every year for about 15 years now and i havent found a place better than this. VERY affordable and the food was amazing and came out quick! I HIGHLY recommend Jimmyz!!!

The outside seating is dirty. The soda was flat and there was a weird white chemical floating atop my pepsi, and the ice part was broken. The food wasn't very good. We gave up on eating halfway through because it was so bad. It was $20 for 2 of us, it wasn't a good deal at all. It was pretty nasty. We got the teriyaki chicken noodle bowl and rice bowl and we didn't like either. The chicken was dry. There weren't any vegetables in it. It was super bland. I have no idea how this place has a 4 star rating. It is easily the worst restaurant I've been to in Myrtle Beach.

This was our first visit to this restaurant We were on vacation. The staff was very friendly and the food was very good We had the chicken rice bowl with veggies and a noodle bowl with veggies. Both were delicious Would go back again on our next vacation. Yummy.

Extremely dissatisfied! Called them to deliver but they said I was to far... GPS said they were 10 mins away! When I got back to my hotel I literally had a plate full of rice with a few pieces of steak and a whole bunch of onions with like 4 pieces of broccoli and 5 pieces of zucchini! Sad part about it is I asked for extra broccoli and zucchini when I placed my order! Instead I got a whole bunch of onions ! If your gonna eat here I suggest you dine in ! That way you can make sure you get what you asked for !

I hesitantly review this fabulous little joint because I don't want all you people crowding one of our favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants but....It's so good! The staff is friendly, competent and efficient. And for a fast food place that in itself is a miracle. The food is high quality and full of flavor. Reasonably priced too. There's an overwhelming selection of restaurants in Myrtle Beach but there's a huge lack of quality restaurants. Jimmyz was a refreshing find in this sea of below average eating establishments. We highly recommend!

  • Ryan F.

Great meal loved the place people were friendly service was fast. Have been twice lunch and dinner. The dinner portions are huge but then the price goes up to match. Lunch for 3 around $30. Dinner for 3 $45, will be back but only at lunch.

  • Micaela L.

The restaurant doesn't look good, and I was very skeptical of the food, but Mr. Fish has a long line so I came here instead. I was surprised to find that the steak platter was flavorful and the portions were large. The scallop platter was also great, but a little over cooked. I'm not sure this is real hibachi but it was a great dinner. Side note: I went to Mr. Fish the next night, and I wish I had come back here instead.

    (5)
  • Ann S.

Went for lunch, first time there. The parking lot was full and the reviews here were good so I figured I'd give it a try. I got the hibachi shrimp and fried rice bowl. I'm not sure why everyone here is raving about the place. The food was ok but nothing exceptional. It actually could have used some more flavor and some more garlic. This struck me as fast food hibachi. Again, not bad just not what I was expecting. Also, the ginger sauce was very sweet which was very weird for me. The staff was friendly and attentive.

  • Gray C.

Good hibachi style Japanese, good sushi though I'm no expert in that regard. Tried several meats from others in my party. Teriyaki chicken was good, although a bit tougher than I would have liked. Steak was good, not great. The shrimp was very good, and stood out as our favorite of the three. They do not cook in front of you, layout is more like a casual "fast-food" place with a drive-through. Price is cheaper than a typical hibachi grill where they cook in front of you, but higher than the standard fast-food style Japanese. Very friendly staff, and there was no wait, plus food came quickly. To sum up, good food priced appropriately, good service. P.S. Sweet carrots do not come with plate, fyi.

  • Gretchen A.

This is our go-to place for Hibachi. It is not fancy but the food is good and plentiful. The prices are fair and everything from the chicken to the steak/scallops has been tasty. Our daughter is crazy about the white sauce that comes with all the entrees.

    (5)
  • Anca J.

Good cheap food. They don't cook in front if you like most places but the taste is the same if not better then places that charge 3X as much. Would come here again, also the shrimp sauce is the best thing ever get extra!

    (5)
  • Mike M.

Good, quick and inexpensive - Hibachi for the masses. Now you can afford to take the whole family out for hibachi without refinancing the beach house. With lunch specials ranging from $5 to $8, and dinner entrees priced from $8 to $13, you can't go wrong. We tried a little of everything, with the steak being our favorite in the entrees. Teriyaki chicken noodle bowl also notable. Know before you go: At Jimmyz, you sit at an actual table, as opposed to sitting around a Hibachi grill (food is prepared in the kitchen). As such, there are no silly dinner time theatrics or or waiting until you have a group to be seated. Also, the restaurant is small inside, and can get crowded quickly, but there is a covered outside seating area as well. Jimmyz brings no-frills hibachi to an area saturated with mediocre chain food. And if quick isn't fast enough, they even have a drive thru! Avoid tourist traps and support a local business - go with Jimmyz. Not 5 stars, but definitely great for the money.

Love Jimmyz Hibachi! Building was sketch first time we went a few years ago but someone recommended it and now we drive in every time we are close to Myrtle (even though JH is a bit out of the way). Every time we go they have upgraded something. Great food and great atmosphere!

After a long trip, we just wanted to order delivery. This place was a pleasant surprise. The rolls were fresh and everything was very affordable. They said 45 minutes but arrived in 30. Highly recommended ...

Arrived from out of town and decided to get something to go so can relax at the hotel. Had the Korean beef mama's platter (it was described as similar to bulgogi) which consisted on chunks of marinated beef, fried rice, and grilled veggies including mostly onions, broccoli, and zucchini. It also came with a mayo sauce that was very good. Flavor of the meal was good and beef was cooked well - tender, not tough. I only wish they gave more broccoli and zucchini as I enjoyed these cooked vegetables.

Was very good. Portions are huge. Very friendly service. I had teriyaki chicken noodle bowl and it was so good. My husband had the Hibachi steak with rice. It was the best we have ever had.

Great place I found thru yelp while on vacation. Got pickup. The scallops were amazing! The kids enjoyed it too! The yum yum sauce was good (I've had some gross ones, so kinda picky)

So apparently they stop delivery at 10th ave. I live on 8th but due to traffic they can't drive a whole 2 damn blocks. My house is on the corner of 8th ave complete bullshit. And the little girl on the phone was completely rude. Needless to say I won't be going here anymore. Sad

I wanted Hibachi food, but not the often times hokey show [and $$] that goes along with it. I saw an 'infomercial' about Jimmyz on the local beach channel and was pleased that that type of place was available. Feeling lazy and not wanting to get dressed, we decided to order delivery. We ordered Hibachi Steak, Hibachi Filet, Hibachi Scallops, and Hibachi Shrimp. It arrived 30 minutes after calling. It arrived in good sized styrofoam containers, but did not take on that 'plastic' flavor and some places have happen. It was hot and extremely tasty! The scallops were done perfectly. Very good food. It came with fried rice, and they substituted one dinner with steamed rice as we requested. What a find!! I may never be forced to catch another shrimp again! :D

Honestly I'd been hearing raves about this place for a while. I usually frequent Mon café because it's closer to where I live. People said it was cheaper: wrong. I spent three dollars more and got the same amount of stuff. People said it tastes better: double wrong. The rice was dry, the chicken was kind of dry and stringy, my grandmothers vegetables were burned, and the soft drink machine really dispensed a flat tasting bland soda. Usually I'm very kind on reviews. The redeeming quality was the fried cheesecake with raspberry sauce, albeit being oddly heated (some bites were frozen whereas others were lava) and the friendly service. The decor on the walls was nice but the layout was really leaving a lot to be desired. It was apparent that this place has changed hands many times. Despite the experience, I might return here on some occasion but for now, I'll stick with Mon café.

Quick and tasty! Call in, delivery or eat in. It's reasonably priced, fresh and good. California rolls were great as was the miso soup. I'd definitely choose this over an overpriced Asian place.

Love that they deliver! Very fast and unreal how inexpensive, had the filet and shrimp for $14.75, what? A home it would be twice the price, especially for the amount! My daughter had the filet dinner, $12.25, crazy! It was WONDERFUL! My husband wasnt crazy about any of the sushi rolls, so that's why this was a 4, delivery was very quick and to our hotel door! Definite do over!!

My husband and I were down here for our anniversary and couldn't decided on a place to eat. He was in the mood for some hibachi and the reviews on this place were so good so we gave it a try. It was excellent! Great price, plenty of food and friendly staff! We will be back!

First time in myrtle beach on vacation. Went to jimmyz based on all the positive reviews on yelp. Jimmz did not dissapoint. This is not what you would typically expect from a hibachi joint. There is no cooking "show". Its just Delicious, cheap and fast Japanese food. They even have a drive through. My entire family loved it. Good portion sizes and good quality food. I will be back.

Cooked to order hibachi fast food..fast and good! Excellent steak hibachi; meat was tender and tasty. Lunch menu is very affordable. Lots more choices for dinner. Choices include just rice bowls and noodle bowls for those of you who don't want to bother with the zucchini and onions. Bangin' Shrimp bowl was a special and was awesome. Love going to the locals for some good food. Note this is a remodeled building and the hibachi is not tableside cute overhang with outdoor seating.

This was hibachi in unexpected form. Americanized Japanese at its finest. For just under $10 including drinks, I got a large bowl of hibachi chicken and rice hold the vegetables. Best of all is that if you eat there, you get a bottle of shrimp sauce to yourself! What more could you ask for?

My family LOVED the food here! We ordered several sushi rolls as well as Miso soup and the Steak Hibachi. The Sushi was perfectly prepared, delicious and FRESH! My Steak was ordered rare and arrived cooked as requested. This was very exciting for me as I am accustomed to over cooked steak (sad but true). The staff is very efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. I loved the humor of the delivery driver! Plus we appreciated that the food arrived hot and was just as we ordered :-)

I'm a huge fan of JimmyZ - they are always willing to accommodate my gluten allergy. They will clean the grill, not sure soy sauce or teriyaki on the veggies, and chicken, and give me white rice. What more can one ask for! This location is the least nice of the three, and smallest.

My son and I enjoyed our teriyaki chicken/chicken and rice bowl. The waitress was helpful great customer service and the dinner area was clean. The outside seating is nice especially if it were cooler outside. The parking is decent also there is a drive through. If in the myrtle beach area stop by and try- not bland not dry - very good food.

Great meal loved the place people were friendly service was fast. Have been twice lunch and dinner. The dinner portions are huge but then the price goes up to match. Lunch for 3 around $30. Dinner for 3 $45, will be back but only at lunch.

We love this place. We come to Myrtle every year and we always plan a trek to Jimmyz. We like the Yum Yum sauce, the hibachi vegetables, the Mahi Mahi, the scallops etc... Great food for a good price. So much cheaper and easier than taking the kids to a regular sit down Hibachi.

In town visiting from Charlotte, NC and wanted to do hibachi for dinner. There were several places to choose from, but we decided to do hibachi without the show. Found Jimmyz on Yelp and it was only a few miles from where we were staying so we thought this is the winner. The restaurant sits on a corner with an outdoor patio as well as indoor seating. The staff was nice and the prices were very reasonable. I ordered the hibachi steak and my boyfriend ordered the 2 meat, hibachi steak and shrimp. The food came out fast and hot. The portion size is large and you can't forget about the shrimp sauce. Everything was delicious

LOVE Jimmyz! I have had a lot of hibachi food in my life and have to say that Jimmyz is probably in my top 2 favorite! Great value and great food. Also, the unlimited shrimp sauce makes it that much better. Every time I go to Myrtle Beach I have to visit Jimmyz. A must try!

This is my first time eating here in all the times I have been to Myrtle and I have been missing out! Our food was done quickly and tastes great! It's not a fancy establishment and there is no fancy show which is a - okay with me because you don't need it! This will definitely be a go to spot for us here on out!. Great prices & food!

This is probably one of the best hibachi places I have eaten at. Being on vacation for a night we wanted something delivered so we could get more beach time. Their delivery was super fast and the food is amazing. Prices are very good for the portion size you get too. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone coming here. We had the teriyaki chicken and steak, YUM!

Hibachi food and sushi without the show or the extra $$ that goes along with those types of places. The family had chicken with rice or noodle bowls and one steak and shrimp hibachi. The food was great, came out super fast, and the staff were all extremely friendly. I definitely recommend trying the kickin' chicken! Grilled chicken in a hot teriyaki sauce! Really good flavor and just the right amount of heat. Not too much and not too little. The sauce that goes along with everything is awesome! I'm not sure what all is in there, but it tasted great on everything we ordered. Definitely will be stopping here again!

Good portions. Interesting concept of toned down hibachi without the show. Worked well for our hungry party that didn't want to wait! They were out of a few items so may want to call ahead if there's something you really want (filet, popcorn chicken). Otherwise the food was quite tasty, definitely not the best hibachi I've ever had but quite good!

Was here today for lunch, it was great as usual! I come here every time I am in town, usually 4 times a year and they never dissapoint. I had the shrimp lunch plate with their house sauce and it rocked! The rest of the family had the shrimp lunch bowls, which they loved! Don't hesitate to try them, food is great and very affordable.

Came for dinner with the kids. I have a picky 7 year old and a typical 2 year old. There was not a kid specific menu, but they shared a teriyaki chicken noodle bowl. Both girls loved the noodles. The chicken did have sesame seeds which made the 7 year old have a slight freak out, but after a few wipes on a napkin she was fine and ate most of her portion. I ordered steak hibachi and my husband ordered scallops and Korean beef. Both of our meals were excellent. They were served on real plates with huge portions. The scallops were superior to those at other restaurants and both of our beefs were perfectly cooked. The vegetables were fresh and had a great flavor. I thought there was too much rice, but it was nicely seasoned. Although the food was very good, there was a long wait after ordering (especially for being a quick service type restaurant). Several cars in the drive through had to pull ahead and wait. They also have the "good ice" - the kind of crushed ice that Sonic has. But - the soda was flat and the sweet tea wasn't sweet. I'd eat here again, but probably get it to-go or have it delivered to our hotel.

One of the few places that I can go in MB and get just veggies (gasp!) and get more than just 1 or 2 vegetables. Large portions. Makes a great quick lunch trip that everyone can agree on!

It's not expensive, but i wouldn't call it cheap either. I came in for cheap sushi, and it was supermarket quality or less... Service was high-school quality: when the girl gave me the drink cup, she put it rim down on the counter in front of me - the same place people put money, trays, their unwashed hands, etc. I sat outside. When she brought the food out, she didn't think to bring even 1 napkin. In fact, if one needs napkins, one has to go and ask for them at the counter. The dispenser on the counter was empty... Need more uncluttered space around the soft-drink machines, so that there is adequate space to put a cup down and put a lid on it... The plastic patio chairs outside are too low for the tables there. Makes for an uncomfortable sitting position.... There is nothing more annoying as background music than listening to a local radio station and its commercials!!! In the day and age of all kinds of FREE Internet music streaming services, where one can create custom playlists, etcetera, is it really that much trouble to provide the customers something more pleasant during lunch than the local car dealer commercials?! In general, the place just looked and felt "greasy", even more so than corporate fast food... lol May or may not go back to try again, but definitely don't think this place deserves the high rating it has...

So apparently they stop delivery at 10th ave. I live on 8th but due to traffic they can't drive a whole 2 damn blocks. My house is on the corner of 8th ave complete bullshit. And the little girl on the phone was completely rude. Needless to say I won't be going here anymore. Sad

Hibachi meal with out the show or extra money. It was a good meal. Large portion and the cost wasn't bad for the amount you get. Don't think this place is a fancy night out for dinner. It's a casual place with a fast food feel. You order at the counter and they will bring you your food to the table. Not a lot of seating but they do have a patio. . All and all not bad. I'm not sure what food the people on here ate but it is not nearly as good as everyone claims. The rice was bland with no seasoning at all. The chicken was okay it really didn't have much flavor and was chewy. I saw someone go from cleaning windows with cleaning solution and then go right over and touch my food which for some reason was put over in a cone sitting for over 5 mins just sitting there. I had already been standing there 15mins waiting. I also saw what look to be the manager carry people's soup by the rim of the bowls which Is a big nono in the food industry which I have worked in over 14 years. I saw a few more things that what be consider a violation if the health board was to come in. So all in all the food was bland and possibly contaminated with windex we are not looking to eat there anytime soon again.

Food was good but nothing to write home about. I got the hibachi steak dinner. Vegetables were decent but tasted a little bland. Steak was steak. Had a good flavor but a little chewy.

Dinner was quick and delicious. Ordered 3 steaks and 1 chicken, ended up getting 3 chickens and 1 steak. Realized it after I got back to my hotel. Would have preferred less rice, and more vegetables. Meat portion was generous.
